Sachi Organics

Sachi Organics began in 1981 in a living room in Albuquerque, New Mexico—back when we were called Bright Future Futon Company. Our founder, Lois Sachiko Hamamoto, started hand-making futons for friends and family in the living room of her duplex. What began as a small, heartfelt craft quickly grew through word of mouth—people felt the difference, and they shared it.

More than four decades later, that same hands-on spirit is still at the heart of everything we do. Now owned and operated by two generations of our family, Sachi Organics remains a small, family-run business devoted to creating comfort with intention. Every mattress, pillow, meditation cushion, and wool bed topper is thoughtfully made by our team using natural materials and time-tested techniques. We don’t believe in shortcuts, and we’ve never been interested in mass production. Comfort, durability, and care come first—always.

Our workshop is still a place where materials are handled by hand, where questions are answered by real people, and where each order is treated with attention. Many of our customers return year after year, and some have been with us for generations—something we never take for granted.

In a fast-moving world, we’re proud to do things a little differently. Every piece we make carries the story of where it came from, who made it, and why it matters. For us, this isn’t just about bedding—it’s about creating comfort you can feel good about, night after night.

This is how we do it. Sachi Organics’ Instagram is an inside look at what “handmade comfort” really means—from the calm rhythm of the workshop to the family story that started it all in 1981. Through weekly mindfulness themes and behind-the-scenes reels, the feed shares the intention behind each pillow, meditation cushion, and handcrafted piece—inviting you into a slower, more grounded approach to rest.
