Our Commitment to All-Natural & Organic Raw Materials
At Sachi Organics, materials matter. What you sleep on, rest against, or sit with every day should feel good—not just in comfort, but in conscience. That belief has guided us since the beginning and continues to shape every product we make.
For more than 40 years, we’ve worked with natural fibers, learning how they behave, how they age, and how they support the body over time. Along the way, we’ve built long-standing relationships with vendors who share our values—people who care deeply about quality, transparency, and environmental responsibility. Whenever possible, we prioritize domestically grown and produced materials, supporting local agriculture and reducing unnecessary environmental impact.
Organic Cotton Fabrics
Every Sachi product is covered in organic cotton fabric. Depending on the product, we use organic cotton sateen, canvas, or twill—each chosen for its durability, breathability, and feel.
We’ve sourced cotton from the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative for over two decades. The cotton batting used in our pillows is unbleached and never treated with chemicals or fire retardants. Organic cotton is grown using methods that support soil health, biodiversity, and responsible land stewardship, without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or genetically engineered seed.
Wool
Our all-natural wool batting offers a resilient, breathable, and temperature-regulating option for sleep and comfort products. The wool is processed without chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides and sourced directly from family farms whenever possible. A blend of sheep breeds—including Dorset and Columbia—creates wool that is supportive, durable, and naturally insulating.
Kapok
Kapok is one of the few materials we import, simply because it only grows in tropical regions. This silky, all-natural fiber surrounds the seeds of the kapok tree and has a soft, buoyant feel similar to down. Naturally hypoallergenic and lightweight, kapok provides gentle support while remaining breathable and comfortable.
Natural Latex
Not all natural latex is created equal. We source ours from a family-owned, environmentally conscious company in the United States. Their FSC-certified latex is made using materials from responsibly managed forests and offers full transparency and traceability.
Natural latex is elastic and supportive, contours to the body, ventilates exceptionally well, and naturally resists bacteria, fungi, and dust mites—making it an excellent material for long-term comfort and support.
Buckwheat & Millet Hulls
We use only domestically sourced organic buckwheat and millet hulls, working with the same Midwest-based supplier since we began making hull-filled pillows.
Buckwheat hulls are larger and irregularly shaped, allowing for excellent airflow and firm, responsive support. They do rustle slightly when moved. Millet hulls are much smaller, silent, and feel smooth and velvety while offering similar support. Both materials remain temperature neutral year-round and conform naturally to the body.
Designed to Last, Not Be Replaced
All Sachi pillows feature a zippered opening, allowing you to adjust the loft to suit your needs. Because natural fibers compress over time, we also offer replacement fillings—so instead of discarding a pillow, you can refresh it. This simple design choice supports comfort, longevity, and sustainability.
We use high-quality YKK zippers made in the United States, chosen for their durability and reliability.
At Sachi Organics, our materials aren’t just components—they’re the foundation of comfort, care, and trust. Each fiber is chosen with intention, so every piece supports not only better rest, but a healthier home and a more mindful way of living.
